As per the direction of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu , the 272nd group meeting of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Group was held under the chairmanship of the Minister and Chairman of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Group and Minister of Hindu Religious Charities, P. K. Sekarbabu, at the office of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Group.

In this committee meeting, decisions were taken on land use change applications within the Chennai metropolitan area regarding the provision of a fuel filling station at the newly constructed Kilambakkam bus terminal, a fuel filling station in the terminal reserved for city buses, close to the metropolitan bus workshop. Important decisions were taken regarding follow-up activities on projects announced by the minister and administrative activities of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Corporation.
